Focused Representation for a Stronger Community

The Birth of a New Riding:

The federal electoral district of Oakville East was officially established as part of the 2022 Federal Electoral Boundaries Redistribution process. This monumental change, necessitated by population growth in the Greater Toronto Area, broke the historical Oakville riding into two distinct constituencies to ensure more focused and effective representation for all residents.

  • Decision Date: The new boundaries for Oakville East came into effect on April 22, 2024.
  • The Mandate: The creation of this riding ensures that the unique concerns of North and East Oakville—especially regarding growth, infrastructure, and local businesses—receive undivided attention in Parliament.
