Guiding Principles

Our Guiding Principles in Plain English

We’re your local Conservative team. Here’s what we do—and how it helps our community:

  • Stand up for Conservative ideas. We share and advance the Party’s principles here at home, so voters know what we believe and how it helps families, taxpayers, and small businesses.

  • Back our local candidate/MP. We give our riding’s Conservative candidate (or MP) the organization, volunteers, and tools they need to win and serve well.

  • Raise funds responsibly. We collect donations legally and transparently so we can print signs, run events, talk to voters, and be election-ready.

  • Find and welcome supporters. We meet people at the door, online, and at events—inviting them to learn more, stay involved, and make their voices heard.

  • Grow our membership. We invite like-minded neighbours to join the Party so they can help shape our local team and vote in key decisions.

  • Invest in youth. We recruit and mentor young Conservatives—future leaders who bring energy, ideas, and service to our community.

  • Keep the policy conversation going. We host ongoing discussions about practical, conservative solutions to local and national issues—so ideas turn into action.

What this looks like in practice

  • Community coffees, town halls, and training nights

  • Door-knocking and phone outreach to listen and help

  • Policy roundtables and youth meet-ups

  • Fundraising done by the book, with clear goals and reports

  • Election-readiness work year-round, not just at writ-drop
